According to figures from the United Nations, “the world’s population is expected to increase by two billion persons in the next 30 years and could peak at nearly 11 billion around 2100.” As human footprint expands across the planet, what will happen to the world that supports us? How will cities develop to cope with a growing population? Will us be able to stay connected to the environment around us without destroying it?
